COVID-19 is on the rise in the magnolia state according to the Mississippi State Department of Health’s latest report confirming 2,014 new cases.
Friday’s update brings the state’s total number of cases to 845,205. With two additional deaths, the complete number of Mississippians who have passed as a result of the virus is now 12,545. In addition, there are currently 175 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.
As of July 5, the total number of Mississippians who have been fully vaccinated is 1,556,753.
