MSDH reports 2,491 new cases of COVID-19 in weekly report

COVID-19 cases in Mississippi are decreasing, according to the Mississippi State Department of Health.

In its weekly report, the MSDH confirmed 2,491 new cases from Feb. 14-20. The seven-day update comes after 10 consecutive reports of 3,000 cases or more.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Mississippi has now seen a total of 987,105 cases of COVID-19. With 24 additional deaths, 13,320 Mississippians have now passed away as a result of the virus.

The state currently has 101 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities. To view the full MSDH report, click here.
