On Tuesday, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 4,840 more cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi.
The latest report brings the state’s total number of cases to 566,102. With the confirmation of 37 additional deaths, 10,492 Mississippians have passed away from the virus.
On Monday, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced their approval for children as young as 12 years old to receive Pfizer booster shots. As of last week, around 35 percent of 12 to 17-year-olds have been vaccinated.
Currently, 1,449,932 Mississippi residents are fully vaccinated. To view the full report, click here.
