The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) has confirmed 542 new cases of COVID-19 from the holiday weekend.
Wednesday’s report brings the state’s total number of cases to 787,938. With the confirmation of 96 additional deaths, 11,954 Mississippians have passed away from the virus. Also according to the report, there are 126 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities—20 less than Tuesday.
