The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) has confirmed 577 new cases of COVID-19.
Friday’s report brings the state’s total number of cases to 789,056. With the confirmation of 24 additional deaths, 12,008 Mississippians have passed away from the virus. Also according to the report, there are 112 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities—10 less than Thursday’s report.
