The Mississippi Dept. of Health is reporting 6,774 new cases of COVID today, a drop of 305 from the 7,079 cases reported Thursday. The total number of cases in our state is now 586,547 with 10,527 deaths.
16 deaths are being reported today. Eleven deaths occurred between December 31 and January 6, and five deaths occurred between August 17 and December 28, identified from death certificate reports.
