On Thursday, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 7,079 more cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi.
The latest report brings the state’s total number of cases to 579,773. With the confirmation of eight additional deaths, 10,511 Mississippians have passed away from the virus. Also according to the report, there are currently 265 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.
Today’s numbers are the highest since the onset of the pandemic in March of 2020. To view the full MSDH report, click here.
