Once you get your first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, the Mississippi State Department of Health is trying to simplify the process of setting up your appointment to get your second shot.
Thursday afternoon, the MSDH issued a news release stating “in order to better serve you, the Mississippi State Department of Health is improving its current system of scheduling second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. For your convenience, we will now schedule second doses through reminder emails or the hotline.”
“For those who have already received a first vaccine, you will now receive an email message with instructions on scheduling your second appointment.”
The hotline can be reached at (877) 978-6453. First dose appointments can be made at covidvaccine.umc.edu.
At the time this article is being posted, 241,853 Mississippians have received their first dose with 38,985 people having been fully vaccinated.
