Mississippi Delta Community College has canceled Thursday’s game ahead of expected poor weather spurred by Hurricane Francine.
The Trojans were set to take on Northeast Mississippi Community College in Moorhead at 7 p.m. The makeup date was announced for Thursday, Oct. 3, which was originally intended to be a conference-wide bye week.
Both teams will resume play next Thursday, Sept. 18. NEMCC will host Holmes Community College in Senatobia while MDCC will host Hinds Community College.
Other community college football teams across Mississippi are expected to make similar announcements with the entire state expecting rain on Thursday.
