Kickoff for this Saturdays matchup between Ole Miss and Alabama in Oxford has been pushed back to 6:30 p.m. due to the projected path of Hurricane Delta.

Originally set to begin at 5 p.m., Ole Miss Athletics announced the time change with the intent to provide a forecast for better game conditions.

This decision was made with the safety and wellbeing of our student-athletes, staff and fans as the priority, Ole Miss AD Keith Carter said. I appreciate the cooperation of the SEC, Alabama and ESPN in changing the start time, and we will be prepared to make any other necessary operational adjustments to ensure a safe gameday environment. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those that could be impacted by this storm.

The gates at Vaught Hemingway Stadium will now open at 4:30 p.m. and parking lots will open at 3:30 p.m.

The storm has also caused the site of Saturdays LSU/Missouri matchup to shift from Baton Rouge to Columbia.
