Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said, “The former marker which said “known only to God,” was replaced this week at the Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula, where 18 month old Alisha Ann Heinrich is buried.”

“Many investigators over the years worked the case and advances in DNA technology led to the child’s identity. Alisha was from the Joplin, Missouri area and that’s where our investigators tracked her family down,” said Ezell.

Ezell stated, “The whereabouts of Alisha’s mother, Gwendolyn Mae Clemons, are unknown and the case remains under investigation. Rest in Peace, little Alisha.”
