Residents in northern Mississippi that have been dealing with flooding are about to get a break, according to the National Weather Service. The pattern of extreme rainfall is changing, and we’ll have an opportunity to dry out. There will still be rain chances, but not to the extent that we’ve seen in the past couple of days.
More than 15 inches of rain fell in Tallahatchie County from Tuesday to Thursday. Other areas, like Oxford and Lafayette County have also experienced flooding.
