Officials in Rankin County have broken ground on a major mixed-use development known as The Heights at Brandon.
According to developers, The Heights at Brandon will feature 96 luxury lofts, 9,000 square feet of retail including an upscale restaurant, and an 82-room, full-service boutique hotel to anchor the development.
The design components will be centered around a common greenspace anticipated to be a social hub for guests, residents, and the community of the Jackson suburb. The hotel will be uniquely designed to reflect Brandon and Mississippi’s culture, focusing on impactful native Mississippians, inventions, and other historical stories that may not be well known to the visiting public, per the developers.
The Heights at Brandon will be located off Highway 80 near city hall. No timeline was given for when the development will come to fruition.
Officials estimate that it will cost around $55 million to construct the facilities on site. The Thrash Group a Hattiesburg firm, and Jackson’s Dale Partners Architects, P.A., are partnering to design the project.
