Officials are searching for a Wilkinson County inmate who escaped on Wednesday.
Christopher Diaz, 32, broke out of the Wilkinson County Community Work Center before being spotted on Jackson, Louisiana Road in Woodville.
Diaz is described as a bald white male standing at 5’6” tall with two tear-drop tattoos on his face beneath his right eye. He was being held on charges of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
The Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) believes Diaz could be heading toward the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact MDOC at (662)745-6611 or the Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office at (601)888-3511.
