Ole Miss basketball player Jamarion Sharp has found himself in legal trouble after allegedly shooting at an individual while a vehicle was being repossessed.
According to Oxford police, gunfire rang out on Friday at a location near Price Hill Park. Authorities found Sharp to be responsible for shooting at an unidentified person.
The incident is said to have occurred during a vehicle repossession. No injuries were reported. Sharp is charged with aggravated assault and was given a $100,000 bond.
The seven-foot-five center transferred to Ole Miss from Western Kentucky to be part of Chris Beard’s inaugural Rebels squad. He averaged 3.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game this past season and led the conference in blocks.
