In a somewhat expected move, this weekend’s Ole Miss-Texas A&M matchup in College Station has been postponed.
In its announcement, Ole Miss Athletics attributed the decision to a “combination of positive tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals” within the program. This comes after the Rebels were forced to suspend all team activities last week, a suspension that will now last until at least Friday.
This matchup was previously postponed in mid-November due to an outbreak inside the Aggie’s program. The ability to play this game will now be “contingent on any cancellation of games currently scheduled for December 19th.” If the game is not made up, it will be declared a ‘no contest.’
On the 19th, Ole Miss is currently scheduled to make up its game against LSU that was originally scheduled for December 5th.
