Security at the University of Mississippi is beefing up as the campus has announced a new feature has been added to its security cameras.
The new feature will electronically monitor parking, speeding, and more to incentivize safe driving on the university’s property, according to Chancellor Glenn Boyce.
“We have a new electronic parking system,” Boyce explained during a recent appearance on The Gallo Show. “They need to be careful because we actually have a system that will track the cars electronically to a point.”
Boyce stated that getting out of parking tickets will also become more difficult as the cameras will be able to identify vehicles that violate traffic laws on the campus.
