A man from the Pearl River Community of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians will spend a decade in prison for incest.
Court documents reveal that, in July 2021, 52-year-old Ronnie Reed, Sr., had an illicit sexual relationship with an unidentified family member.
Reed was indicted by a federal grand jury in October 2023 and pleaded guilty to his crimes back in April.
The case against the defendant was investigated by the Choctaw Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kevin J. Payne and Brian K. Burns prosecuted the case.
