Authorities are investigating a Memorial Day plane crash that took place at the Ross Barnett Reservoir.
Police report that a small plane with just one occupant crashed into the water in the Pelahatchie Bay area Monday afternoon. The unidentified male pilot was rescued by a boater and taken to Pelahatchie Shore Park where he was given medical assistance.
The pilot is not believed to be facing any serious injuries. The cause of the crash has not been made known at this time.
