A 35-year-old Mississippi man is facing charges after allegedly killing his wife.
Officers responded to a home on Rockford Court in Brandon around 9 a.m. Saturday in response to a call about an accidental death at the home.
Upon arriving, they found a woman who had died from a gunshot wound. After talking to the man we now know to be Tyler Gorrell, officers became suspicious that Gorrell had killed the woman, who was revealed to be his wife.
Gorrell was taken into custody and charged with both murder and felony possession of a controlled substance. Additional charges are pending.
