Police in northeast Mississippi are investigating after a dead body was discovered in a creek.
The Itwamba County Sheriff’s Department confirms that the body of an unidentified deceased white male was spotted at the creek on Fawn Grove Road in Mantachie.
Deputies were dispatched to the location around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
At this time, no further information is available. More details will be released once an autopsy is conducted.
