Queen Elizabeth II passes away at age 96

Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, has passed away at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. She was 96.

Earlier Thursday morning, the queen’s doctors revealed that they were concerned for her majesty’s health before her passing. Elizabeth served as the face of Britain’s royal family for seven decades.

The queen was preceded in death by her husband, Prince Philip in 2021. The two were married for 73 years and had four children – Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward.
