Students looking to enter the art challenge will be tasked with creating and submitting an original piece that answers the following question: “What do you want to be when you grow up?”

The contest is open to any Mississippi student from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade, whether in a classroom, through an after-school program, or by homeschooling.

A $1,000 Mississippi Affordable College Savings scholarship will be awarded to the first-place contestant in each of the following age categories:

  • Pre-K – 2nd Grade
  • 3rd Grade – 5th Grade
  • 6th Grade – 8th Grade
  • 9th Grade – 12th Grade

A second-place prize of a $500 MACS scholarship and a third-place prize of a $250 MACS scholarship will also be awarded in each category.

Students in PreK through 2nd Grade should submit their artwork on an official entry form. Students belonging to the 3rd-12th grades categories are asked to submit their original 8.5″ x 11″ artwork using a medium of their choice.
