Registrations for 25th Anniversary of Cruisin’ the Coast exceeded expectations

Registrations for the 25th Anniversary of Cruisin’ the Coast far exceeded expectations.  Director Woody Bailey recapped the event with SuperTalk Mississippi this morning on The Gallo Show.  There were 9,496 cruisers this year.  “Our record was set in 2019 at 8,620 so we just blew past that record.”

An economic impact study done in 2016 shows that the event brought in around $30-million.  When the results of this year’s study come in in a couple of months, Bailey expects to see a 10-20% increase over that.

And there’s no doubt Ralph Martin from the Kiln left the event with a huge smile.  He won the Make-A-Wish raffle, and drove off Sunday in a ’57 Chevy Bel Aire Convertible.  Bailey says ticket sales were tremendous, so they were able to give the foundations 2 checks totaling $40-thousand.
