The world lost an endearing soul on Friday when it was announced that Emmy award-winning actress Betty White had passed away at the age of 99.
Most will remember White for her roles in “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “The Golden Girls,” but for Ole Miss fans, White will be remembered for something different.
When the Ole Miss football team hosted the University of Texas in 2012, White appeared on the jumbotron minutes before kickoff and led the crowd in the “Hotty Toddy” chant after complimenting the university for having the best game day experience in all of college football.
White would have turned 100 on January 17, 2022. Rest in peace to an absolute legend.
