United States Representative Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) has announced that several nonprofits in Mississippi’s Second Congressional District have been awarded $4,950,623 in funds through the FY22 Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP).
The grants will distribute $4,703,092 to the nonprofits and an additional $247,531 for management and administration.

- Benoit Christian Community Center — $105,000
- Bertha Chapel M.B. Church, Inc. — $141,860
- Daniel Memorial Baptist Church — $15,002
- International Museum of Muslim Cultures – 101 East Capitol St. — $150,000
- International Museum of Muslim Cultures – 201 East Pascagoula St. — $150,000
- King Solomon Baptist Church — $150,000
- New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church — $150,000
- New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church-Life Center — $150,000
- Operation Shoestring – 1711 Bailey Ave. — $150,000
- Operation Shoestring – 1718 Bailey Ave. — $150,000
- Refuge Temple Church — $150,000
- Tougaloo College — $150,000
- URJ Jacobs Camp — $150,000
