A second of the five inmates who escaped the Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility on Monday is back in custody.
According to the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office, Marlon Willis of Madison, Tenn., was captured Monday morning in Silver City. Four others are still on the run, including:
- Glen Bassett (6’1”, 190 pounds, from Yazoo)
- Marcus Green (5’7”, 140 pounds from Yazoo)
- Deliuwon Stowers (5’9”, 125 pounds from Yazoo)
Officials with the YCSO said at approximately 11:38 p.m. on Sunday, deputies were driving up to the jail when they noticed an inmate running back into the facility through the fence. Deputies then informed correctional officers of what they saw, spurring a headcount. That’s when they noticed five inmates missing.
While one of which was captured almost immediately – their name has not yet been released by authorities – Willis was taken back into custody around 9 a.m.
