A Smith County School District employee has been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine after law enforcement discovered drugs in his vehicle on school property.
Boyd Nichols Hillman, Jr., was taken into custody at Raleigh High School on Tuesday following a K9 search of the campus parking lot.
Hillman was transported to Smith County Jail after his arrest, with a justice court judge setting his bond at $50,000 the following day.
Law enforcement have released that Hillman is not believed to have been distributing narcotics to students at the school and that it was an isolated incident.
No additional information has been released about the investigation.
