Someone is “snack-ting” up in northeast Mississippi.

Law enforcement agencies in the area are investigating after multiple vending machines were recently broken into. According to Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson, an unidentified male operating a white vehicle believed to be a Buick LeSabre pulled into the parking lot of Brewer Grocery in Shannon on Saturday, Dec. 7, and stole money from the Coca-Cola vending machine on site.

Similar incidents are reported to have taken place in nearby cities of Aberdeen, Hamilton, and Nettleton, per WTVA, and are believed to be connected. The suspect is said to be using a drill to compromise the vending machines’ locks and steal cash.
