The South Mississippi Fair begins today, Oct. 21 at the Laurel Fairgrounds, kicking off over a week of festivities.
Attendees will be able to experience live music and shows, food vendors, rides, and more each day until Saturday, Oct. 29. The fair will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Admission costs $5 per person, with unlimited rides armbands costing $30 Monday through Friday and $35 on Saturdays and Sunday.
If attendees choose to not purchase an armband, rides will require between three to six tickets, which can be purchased at the carnival ticket booth.
Ticket prices for rides will cost:
- $1.50 single ticket
- $30 for 30 tickets
- $50 for 55 tickets
Poplarville natives and America’s Got Talent finalists Chapel Hart will be performing at the Magnolia Center at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Tickets for bleacher seats cost $10, while floor seats cost $15.

- The Classix – Oct. 21 and 22, 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Bros 4 – Oct. 23, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Ball & Chain – Oct. 24, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Champagne Jam – Oct. 26, 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Journey Tribute Band – Oct. 27, 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Taste of 59s – Oct. 28, 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Davis County – Oct. 29, 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Daily shows will also be open to all fair attendees, including Granpa’s Clubhouse puppet show, Disc-Connected K9′s dog show, Cowtown, Firefighter Show, Pirate Man Dan, Junior Livestock Show, and the Pork Chop Revue.
