Southern Miss has released its 2022 football schedule, and it looks as if the university is staying strong in its recent announcement to jump ship and join the Sun Belt early.
In what’s been the epitome of a bad breakup, the Conference USA is refusing to let Southern Miss, Old Dominion, and Marshall leave the conference. Not only did the C-USA include the three teams in its February 15 schedule release, but it has threatened legal action if the programs do not participate in the 2022-2023 athletics year.
Well, it doesn’t seem as if Southern Miss is too concerned with the threats.
Here is the schedule the school announced today:
9/3 – vs. Liberty
9/10 – @ Miami
9/17 – vs. Northwestern State
9/24 – @ Tulane
10/8 – @ Troy*
10/15 – vs. Arkansas State*
10/22 – @ Texas State*
10/27 – vs. Louisiana*
11/5 – vs. Georgia State*
11/12 – @ Coastal Carolina*
11/19 – vs. South Alabama*
11/26 – @ ULM*
