The program, SuperTalk Outdoors with Ricky Mathews will be airing Mondays from 12 – 1 p.m. Ricky Mathews is the former Publisher of the Times-Picayune, NOLA.com, Mobile Press-Register, and The Sun-Herald. Ricky retired in 2016 as president of Advance Southeast before joining SuperTalk Mississippi Media as the host of Coast Vue in January of 2020.
Ricky has a deep love and passionate understanding of Mississippi’s connection to the outdoors. He has spent a lifetime hunting in the Mississippi Delta and fishing on the Gulf Coast and appreciates the intersection between outdoors enjoyment and the legislative process.
“Enjoying the outdoors is a big part of our Mississippi heritage,” said Mathews. “It’s part of our DNA in this state. Hunting or fishing or just simply soaking up the endless number of other outdoor recreational activities is at the core of this great state. I’m thrilled to be the host of this new show.”
SuperTalk Outdoors will focus on interesting stories from outdoorsmen and women and industry leaders with a special emphasis on preserving Mississippi’s outdoor heritage.

SuperTalk Outdoors with Ricky Mathews is presented by The Foundation (Foundation for Mississippi Wildlife Fisheries and Parks). The show will be broadcast on 12 talk radio stations, and SuperTalk TV. It will also be available in podcast and multimedia formats so fans can watch or listen to the show whenever and however they want.
