Authorities in central Mississippi are investigating a mysterious incident in which a dead body was found in Madison County.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office reports that a call came in requesting a welfare check at a home in the 100th block of Haley Creek Drive. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies discovered the unidentified body.
An unidentified person of interest has been taken into custody at an unspecified jurisdiction, the MCSO confirms.
