A man wanted for capital murder out of Texas was arrested on the campus of a Mississippi community college.
Jones County deputies and campus police at Jones College arrested Jaden Grays, 18, on Monday. Grays was wanted in Fort Worth, Texas, on a capital murder warrant and was handcuffed at the community college following a tip from an unidentified area resident and information submitted to the nearby Covington County Sheriff’s Office.
“The safety of our students, staff, faculty, and campus community remains our top priority, and there is no known threat to the campus at this time,” a release from Jones College reads. “We are working closely with law enforcement to ensure that our campus is a safe place for everyone.”
Grays is being held at the Jones County Adult Detention Facility before being extradited to Texas.
