The Tunnel to Towers Foundation paying off mortgage of Mississippi trooper that died in the line of duty

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is paying off the mortgages of 50 fallen first responders and Gold Star families across the country, including a home in Mississippi!

Trooper John Harris was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer during a traffic stop on State Highway 16 in Madison County last May.  The Clarksdale native left behind a wife and two children.

Tunnel to Towers is an organization that helps families of fallen first responders and severely injured service members and Gold Star families by paying off their mortgage or providing smart homes to accommodate injuries. This is the largest one-day mortgage payoff in Tunnel to Towers’ 20-year history and was made possible by the outpouring of support the foundation received as America observed the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
