The Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame will celebrate its incoming class next weekend with the public invited to attend the festivities.

On Friday, Aug. 2, the “Drawdown of Champions” will take place at the Sheraton in Flowood. Prior to the event officially starting at 6 p.m. SportsTalk Mississippi will broadcast live from the hotel with listeners encouraged to come out and join. Food and drink from local restaurants will be available after the show, along with a silent auction and a drawdown for $5,000. Tickets are $75 and include one draw towards the grand prize with extra draws available for $25 apiece.

On Saturday, Aug. 3, this year’s inductees – headlined by former Ole Miss and New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning – will be at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame in Jackson for a meet and greet. The event is $10 per person and will go from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Later that night, a reception and the induction ceremony will be held at the Clyde Muse Center in Pearl. The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. with the program taking place at 7 p.m. Individual tickets for both are $150 with half-tables (5 seats) going for $850 and full tables (10 seats) going for $1,650. Full weekend packages are also available, ranging from $200 to $2,150.
