Authorities in Rankin County seized $160,000 worth of cocaine during a traffic stop Tuesday.
A Rankin County Interdiction Deputy stopped a vehicle traveling east on I-20 Tuesday. During the stop, the behavior of the driver and the two passengers led the deputy to make a pass around the vehicle. A K-9 officer then alerted the deputy to the presence of drugs inside the car.
A detailed search of the car revealed approximately 12.4 pounds of cocaine inside of a hidden compartment.
Jorge Boldovinos, Eduardo Compean and Gavino Mezomo were each arrested and charged with drug trafficking. Boldovinos & Mezomo are from Houston, Texas while Compean is from Baton Rouge.
