Trio wanted in connection to Gulfport apartment shooting that left one dead

Three individuals are wanted in connection to a fatal apartment shooting that left one dead and another critically injured.

Gulfport police are looking for a trio of suspects allegedly connected to the mid-December gunfire at Emerald Pines Apartments that resulted in the death of 24-year-old Donna Perkins and the injury of another individual.

19-year-old Jaleal Montrez Malone, who was taken into custody after the incident, is accused of shooting indiscriminately, leading to Perkins’ death and the critical injury of an unidentified individual.

Detectives were later able to develop Treyvughn Damon Kirk, 17, Amahdrey Jermaine Shade, 17, Ezequal Elijah Simmons, 20, and Brenton Marcell Brumfield, 16, as the suspects who were discharging firearms that struck multiple apartments.

According to Gulfport Sgt. Jason Ducré, a trio consisting of Malone, Simmons, and Brumfield has active arrest warrants. The three are considered armed and dangerous by law enforcement.

Kirk and Shade were arrested in December for shooting into an occupied dwelling charges.
