On Friday, May 28, 2021, Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper John Harris was struck by a vehicle and fatally injured while conducting a traffic stop on Highway 16 in Madison County.
Visitation begins today at noon at Broadmoor Baptist Church on Highland Colony Parkway in Madison with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. The service will be livestreamed at https://broadmoor.online.church/
Trooper Harris will be laid to rest at the Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Harris is survived by his wife Kate, a 9-year-old daughter, and a 5-year-old son.
