Two individuals have been taken into custody after a newborn baby was found behind a set of dumpsters at a Marshall County mobile home complex.
Investigators and deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that two unidentified persons of interest were arrested on Friday. No additional details about the arrest or the individuals’ charges have been made available at this time.
The female infant, said to be of Hispanic descent, was found behind the trash collection units at Grove of Cayce mobile home park in Byhalia on Wednesday around 7 p.m.
The baby was reported to be in a car seat bundled up in several blankets, with one blanket over the top of the seat. Some of the blankets were blue and pink.
Lifeguard Ambulance Service transported the child to Le Bonheur Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn. where she is said to be in good condition and continuing to recover.
