Vaccine eligibility has been expanded in Mississippi.

One day after stating the possibility, Governor Tate Reeves has announced that Mississippians 50-years and older are now eligible to receive the vaccine.

At the time this is being published, thousands of first-dose appointments remain available at https://covidvaccine.umc.edu.

All previously eligible groups can continue to sign up including those 65+, those with underlying health conditions, healthcare workers, teachers and first responders.

So far, over 660,000 doses of the vaccine have been administered in Mississippi.
