Governor Tate Reeves gives his 2023 State of the State address from the south steps of the Mississippi Capitol in Jackson. Reeves, a Republican in his first term, updates residents on the current status of Mississippi as well as provides his legislative agenda to lawmakers. Northern Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley – who recently announced his intentions to challenge Reeves in this year’s gubernatorial election – will deliver the Democratic response.
