With ESPN’s College GameDay gearing up to film live from the campus of Jackson State University, there are plenty of questions surrounding the logistics of Saturday’s big event. Here are all of those answers.

What is College GameDay?

College GameDay is a pre-game show broadcast by ESPN as part of the network’s coverage of college football that has been running since September 5, 1987. The show runs each college football Saturday as hosts Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Pat McAfee, Desmond Howard, and Rece Davis travel to college football towns all throughout the U.S. to showcase a university and give their predictions on the hottest college football games of the week.

What time is College GameDay?

The show will air on ESPN from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. CT.

Where will College GameDay be set up?

The College GameDay pit opens at 6 a.m. Fans are recommended to get to the stadium between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. if they want to get the full GameDay experience, which includes an appearance by a celebrity guest picker.

Who will be this week’s celebrity guest picker?

Saturday’s guest picker has not yet been announced. However, there is speculation that is could be somebody with Jackson and/or Mississippi ties such as former JSU great Eddie Payton, or hip hop artists such as Rick Ross or Big K.R.I.T. There are also rumors that Deion Sanders’ notoriety could pull in nationally renowned celebrities like Beyoncé, Snoop Dogg (who was in attendance at JSU’s homecoming game versus Campbell), or Kevin Hart. Who knows? Maybe Coach Prime will pull a Lane Kiffin and announce himself as the celebrity guest picker.

Can I hold up a sign during College GameDay?

Signs are allowed but with limitations. Vulgar signs, signs with domain suffixes (.com, .org, .net, etc.), and signs with political or religious material are prohibited. All signs brought to Saturday’s taping will be inspected before entry and must abide by College GameDay’s sign policies or they will be removed.
