Wreaths Across America Tour for veterans to stop in Mississippi

Wreaths Across America (WAA) is a non-profit organization that aims to honor late veterans through the placement of live balsam wreaths on their headstones.

Wreaths will be placed to honor veterans as a part of National Wreaths Across America Day, which can be sponsored for $15 per wreath. Veterans, active-duty military, family members, and the community are also invited to join, tour a mobile museum, and share stories.

“The goal of the Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit is to bring community together and teach patriotism while remembering the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes,” said Karen Worcester, executive director, Wreaths Across America. “However, over the last year, in light of the current health crisis, we feel this exhibit has taken on even more meaning by providing the opportunity for people to safely participate in something that is both educational and inspiring, while supporting and giving back to the communities it visits.”

The WAA tour will be stopping at three locations in Mississippi during their Mobile Education National Tour:

  • Jackson, March 25: The tour will be at Jackson Academy from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 4908 Ridgeland Road.
  • Madison, March 26: The tour will be at Liberty Park from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM at 810 Madison Avenue.
  • Corinth, March 29: The tour will be at The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 6 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at 511 South Tate Street.
