Yazoo County High School football coach charged with date rape of a minor

A Yazoo County High School football coach is behind bars for sex crimes against a minor.

First reported by WJTV,  Chief Deputy Edward Ferrell with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department revealed that assistant coach Antoine Bourne is accused of supplying alcohol to a minor and date raping her.

The unidentified victim informed a teacher at the high school about the incident. The educator notified the school’s resource officer of the alleged incident.

After authorities conducted an investigation, Bourne was arrested on Friday at the school’s campus. He is charged with date rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor by providing alcohol.

He was issued a $50,000 bond.
