Northern Mississippi
Today will be mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers in the morning and then again in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower to mid-90s during the day. Come nightfall, residents might get a little rain with lows in the lower 70s.
Central Mississippi
After a chance of showers in the morning, the sun should make its way out with highs in the lower 90s. Heat index readings could get up to 105. At night, there will be a slight chance of rain with lows in the lower 70s.
Southern Mississippi
Temperatures should not exceed 90 in the southern part of the state with highs forecasted to be in the upper 80s. There will be a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Nighttime could also see a little rain with lows in the lower 70s.
