It will be sunny today with patchy dense fog in the morning and highs in the lower 70s. Then becoming mostly cloudy tonight with patchy fog after midnight and lows in the lower 40s.

A round of moderate to heavy rain showers is expected to move across central Mississippi Saturday evening into Sunday morning. Given the saturated soils in parts of the area, isolated flash flooding will be possible where heavy rain rates occur.
