Hot and humid conditions will continue this week. Beginning today, heat indices will likely range from 106 to 110 degrees along the interstate 55 corridor and southeast into the Pine belt. Higher heat indices from 110-115 degrees are likely in the Mississippi Delta. Elsewhere, heat indices will rise to near 105 degrees. Heat stroke and exhaustion is likely with prolonged outdoor activity. Stay hydrated!

Mostly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-90s, with heat index readings from 108 to 113.

Central Mississippi–
Mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms through this afternoon. Highs will be in the low to mid-90s with heat index readings from 108 to 113.

Southern Mississippi–
Mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms through this evening. Highs will be in the lower 90s with heat index readings from 106 to 111. Lows tonight in the mid-70s.
