A cold front will usher in cooler and drier air by midweek. Temperatures will feel more typical of late September, and some parts of Mississippi could see temps drop below 60 for the first time since early June. Here’s your statewide forecast from the National Weather Service.

Northern Mississippi

Today will be partly sunny with a slight chance of showers in the morning and highs in the upper 70s. Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows in the mid to upper 50s.

Central Mississippi

Today will be mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers and highs in the mid-80s. Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows in the lower 60s.

Southern Mississippi

Today will be sunny with highs in the lower 90s. Tonight will be mostly clear with lows in the upper 60s.
